We love our community, and we want to make sure the families in our community are taken care of during the holiday season. 2020 has left a lot of people in financial trouble, and The Salvation Army expects up to 155% more people will need its holiday assistance services this year. Cool Spring Storage Center in Milton DE is accepting donations at our facility to help raise money to fund those services. Any donations will go to Rescue Christmas programs benefitting Milton DE families.
The Rescue Christmas initiative provides monetary aid to residents who might need help with expenses like bills and groceries. It also supports resources at local homeless shelters and gifts presents to kids who may otherwise not get any.
Unemployment rates are expected to be high at the year’s end, and The Salvation Army has already seen an increased use of its services this year. A big problem is that fewer red kettles will be out this winter to collect donations outside stores. The kettle donations support a bulk of the programs, and the red kettle funds could be up to 50% less than usual due to contact-free COVID-19 times. That is why Cool Spring Storage Center is accepting donations that will go toward The Salvation Army holiday efforts in the Milton DE area. Help us do our part to support the community this holiday season.
